The purpose of this list is to provide a forum for WSMSP instructors to
discuss BRC implementation strategies and to share adult learning
technique -- those that work, those that flopped. :)
It is expected that this will be a low-volume list. It is not a list
for voicing opinions or making judgments about the BRC; its goal is
to help instructors share their experiences during implementation.
The list is hosted with Mailman software, so the commands used may not
be familiar to you (they are different from Listserv). The list has
a web interface, where you can subscribe or unsubscribe -- change your
settings to nomail -- read archives.
- Welcome Message
You will receive a copy of this upon subscription. All subscriptions
require confirmation to ensure that someone is not subscribed to the
list against their wishes.
- Subscribe to the List
Please use this web interface; you must pick a password.
- Post to the List:
You must be a subscriber to post messages.
Send a mail to
BRC@motogrrl.com
to distribute a message to all members. The "reply" function is
default to reply-to-list -- and all messages are "moderated" to
ensure that they are on-topic (what's blocked? SPAM, personal replies, mails
with attachments, and so forth). The moderation is a cautionary
measure based on experience launching the ESC scheduling list.
-
Shared Files and Documents
Rather than send attachments to the list -- please send Word Docs, PDFs,
or other files to
listmom@motogrrl.com
and I will upload them to this shared directory. If the group decides
to restrict access to this folder, I will implement simple password
protection.
-
Review Web Archives
You can read messages online rather than have them delivered to your mailbox. You must use your address which is subscribed to the list to access
the archives and the archives are password-protected (thus, *bots* cannot
harvest your e-mail address).
-
Modify subscription options
You must use the address which is subscribed to the list to access
the web site. If you have forgotten your password, the mailserver
can be instructed to send it to your subscribed mailbox.
