"A Doll's House",
Ibsen
Role of women - had a profound affect on me when I was in H.S. and I read it again the summer I studied in Norway. If you ever have a change to see a stage version, go.
Kathy Gill
"Hamlet" or "Macbeth",
Shakespeare
you probably like him as much as Dickens, but you need to give it another
chance
MiG
A Streetcar Named Desire,
Tennessee Williams
Another southern classic; alternatively, rent the movie. :)
Kathy Gill
The Tempest and King Lear,
Wm. Shakespeare
Both these plays read better as books than they play
on stage. The opposite is true of most of Willie's
other work. The Tempest has beautiful language and King
Lear will devastate you if you have any soul at all.
